I watched CNN for the first time in a long time today. The stories that transpired on the screen reminded why I don’t watch the news, it’s upsetting.
A child care provider reprimanded a boy by locking him in her trunk and driving around for a while, crazy, I know. She faces reckless endangerment charges.
Five fairly large bullet-proof vested men tasered a man to death in a Canadian airport. The Airport spokesperson said a video only shows one perspective, not the whole story. There was no apology or condolensce for the man lying tasered on the floor, dead, investigation pending.
An anesthesiologist was investigated and found to have reused needles possibly infecting over 600 plus patients with HIV, Hepatitis C and B. He is still practicing medicine.
Baseball slugger Barry Bonds was indicted for perjury, apparently having lied about his steroid use. He faces a maximum of 30 years
Moral of the story: Steroid use is far more criminal than locking a child in the trunk, or tasering a man to death. Oh and possibly infecting people with deadly viruses, that’s just not a big deal, cause for a hospital transfer maybe.
maybe.
