I’ve given this album a couple of spins since I downloaded it this morning, and I’m definitely feelin’ it. Very few albums grab my ear on the first spin but Lupe has yet to disappoint me. Food and Liquor is currently spinning in my car and has been for a week or so now. I wasn’t sure he would top that album but the more I replay The Cool, the more I like it.
The lyrics are on point and Lupe definitely upped his craft on this one. This album is worth the download but you should definitely go out and support this amazing artist.
I love Lupe Fiasco! I only have one of his songs, Superstar, from this album and it’s been playing on repeat. I could write an essay analyzing that song. I think it’s about time I just bought the album. And though I don’t usually judge music by the album cover, I like the way the cover is designed - his name written in Arabic calligraphy style looks really cool.
