Aerosolpoetic

I like to think my writing has improved in the last couple years, but I never imagined myself in an MFA program. The first time I gave it serious thought was after a conversation with Laurica the other night. She asked me straight up how set I was on going to law school. I still think I’m pretty set on going but I would love to get an MFA. The poetry for the people community of writers I have been blessed to share my words with have been inspirational beyond measure. In my eyes they are giant poets whose footsteps dwarf my own in comparison, but I like to believe that their voices have filled my lungs with breath and their outstretched hands have called me forward to speak with a new tongue.

I pray that God will direct my path so that I might make them as proud of me as I am of them.
